Pannukakku -poster design | personal project | 2022
I wanted to design a poster for my two friends and myself as a birthday gift. I wanted it to represent our friendship and remind us about eachother.
First sketches I made were inspired by the song called Lemon Tree by Fools Garden. I wanted to make a typographic poster with lemon illustration. After trying different compositions and ideas on Illustrator, I didn't feel like the poster had the feeling I was looking for. I made one abstract element for one poster option and immediately fell in love with it. I made the element from the word "pannukakku" (which means pancake) with the liquify tool in Photoshop. I played with the typographic element and came up with very simple but powerful design which has the secret inside joke in it but also works as a home decoration element. I used Photoshop and Illustrator for designing this poster.
